Contestants must create nail art using nail extensions on the model’s nails. Nail embellishments, jewellery and other decorations are allowed. The model must be prepped with the nail extensions already attached to the nails before the start of the competition. No other pre-preparation should be done to the nails.

Competition

• To be done on the models natural nails without any added extensions or tips
• All nail art must be made from professional nail products
• Three dimensional embellishments, feathers, decals, gems, accessories, ornaments or any form of fantasy are allowed.
• No more than 20% of the design should consist of embellishments.
• Competitors may not use any copyrighted art, designs or logos.
• Henna or similar products are strictly prohibited.
• Contestants must carry a print out of their concept explaining their inspiration for the nail art. Failure to do so will lead to a deduction in the points.

Model

• Models must be dressed in bridal costume as benefitting a modern Indian bride on her wedding day and be prepared for judging at the scheduled report time.
• Models natural nails must be approximately 2:1 ratio from nail bed to nail tip.
• Model’s costume should not extend beyond the wrist.
• Models must be able to walk in costume without assistance.
• Only the model and contestant are allowed on the competition floor. The costuming, make-up and hair must be assembled before the competition.

Finishing

• Water and soap may be used in finishing.
• No cleaning whatsoever should take place after the competition is over.
• Pre-existing damage to the model’s nails or hands will not be considered
• Products like cream, oils and lotions may be used but excessive oil will lead to point deduction
