Nail Extension Relay

A team of 3 nail techs and a team leader will work turn by turn in a relay to create nail extensions using tips. The contestants must apply clear or natural tips on the model's nails to create nail extensions. The nail tips must be the same size as the nail bed when finished (1:1). The nails must then be finished with a permanent pink/white in-built French in gel/acrylic.

The team works the best in a relay, finishes the fastest with the most flawless work will be declared the winner.

Competition

• Extensions must be 1:1 ratio from nail bed to tip.
• A Salon Team will consist of 3 members.
• The 3 team members will have 25 minutes each to finish their portion of the work on the nails before they step away. Exceeding the time limit may lead to disqualification or point deduction.
• The first team member will prep the nails till the point of applying extensions.
• The 2nd team member will actually apply the extensions.
• The 3rd team member will file, finish and polish the nails
• Competitors must polish the finished hand of the model in a traditional French manicure with pink/white colors.
• Team members are not allowed to consult one another at any point during the competition
• Use only clear or natural tips
• Use only clear adhesives to attach tips to the nail.
• Embellishments are not allowed
• No colored or clear products of any type may be applied to tips prior to attaching them to the natural nail.

Finishing

• Water and soap may be used in finishing.
• No cleaning whatsoever should take place after the competition is over. Any contestant seen cleaning the nails/hands after the time period will be immediately disqualified.
• Products like cream, oils and lotions may be used but use of excessive oil may lead to point deductions.

Team Support and Cheer

• Teams must be in a team costume which clearly identifies the team and team member.
• Teams are allowed to bring supporters and banners to encourage them throughout the competition. However misconduct will lead to deduction of points from the team participating.
• The best supporters and best team costume will win additional prizes that are not connected to the Salon Team Challenge results.
